The Egyptian judiciary issues a final ruling against the girls of "Tik Tok" Hanin Hosam and Mawaddah Al-Adham

Today, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Hanin Hosam and Mawaddah Al-Adham, the two girls of "Tik Tok", to imprisonment for the first ten years and the last six years.

The trial of Mawaddah Al-Adham and Hanin Hosam “on charges of human trafficking, by exploiting children in the videos that they were presenting” via “Instagram” and “Tik Tok”, after a decision was issued to refer them to a criminal trial for this accusation.

According to the newspaper "Lotan", the investigations and investigations of the security and judicial services revealed that the accused, Mawaddah Al-Adham, trafficked in human beings by using children under the age of 18, through two video clips filmed for them and published on her accounts on social networking sites, taking advantage of their weakness and lack of realization that she had obtained a profit from behind them.

Investigations confirmed that Haneen Hosam had profited and trafficked in people through the “Tik Tok” application, and that she had used children to make videos for profit.

About a year and a half ago, the security services in Cairo and Giza were able to arrest Mawaddah Al-Adham and Hanin Hosam in different places in Cairo and Giza, against the background of incitement to immorality and human trafficking by publishing videos via “Tik Tok”, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution, which began investigations.
