The US Army Osprey, which landed at Yamagata Airport on the 14th of this month without prior notice and then remained at the adjacent Self-Defense Forces facility, took off on the evening of the 20th and arrived at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo.

Two Osprey aircraft belonging to the US military Yokota Air Base in Tokyo landed one after another at Yamagata Airport in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture on the 14th of this month without prior notice.

One of them continued to stay at the tarmac because the aircraft needed maintenance, and was moved to the facility of the 6th Squadron of the Ground Self-Defense Force adjacent to the airport on the night of the 18th at the request of Yamagata Prefecture.

According to the Tohoku Defense Bureau, the U.S. military work team was inspecting and servicing, so in the video taken by NHK after 2:30 pm on the 20th, the workers are considered to be part of the Osprey aircraft. I was able to confirm how it was being carried.

Then, before 4 pm, the Osprey hovered over the SDF facilities, then climbed as it was, and left Yamagata Prefecture on the 7th day after landing.

According to the Tohoku Defense Bureau, we arrived at Yokota Air Base before 5 pm.
