After the high-profile incident in Paradise hotel, which is now being investigated as rape, the Swedish Work Environment Authority carried out an inspection at Mastiff.

The inspection was carried out on 16 June and several deficiencies have now been identified.

Unclear handling of malpractices

On the one hand, the production company lacks sufficient routines for reporting and investigating ill health, accidents and incidents at work.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority demands an answer from Mastiff on how they ensure that their employees actually report misconduct and how and to whom this should be done.

On the one hand, it is not clear enough what is meant by abusive discrimination or what routines one has for dealing with any abusive discrimination in the workplace.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority demands that Mastiff develop routines for this and clarify how the people who are exposed can quickly get help.

In addition, supervisors and managers need to be trained in how to prevent and deal with abusive discrimination.

Mastiff has until 16 September to rectify the shortcomings.

Otherwise you risk a fine or ban.

In the event of an occupational injury, death and serious incident, an employer is obliged to prepare an incident report in accordance with the Work Environment Act.

Nevertheless, the production company Mastiff had not made its own report to the Swedish Work Environment Authority about the incident in Paradise hotel.
