In order to fight against urban rodeos, the city of Vaulx-en-Velin and the Rhône prefecture will launch a device called “A Vaux Cross”.

It will consist of offering young people the opportunity to ride on approved circuits, during “supervised and secure” activities.

For this, they will rely on the Synergie Family association.

“This device should help prevent rodeos by offering the practice of sport to young volunteers from the municipality.

It is intended to complement the repressive actions undertaken by the State services against the authors of urban rodeos, ”indicates the socialist mayor Hélène Geoffrey.

About sixty young people trained this year

About sixty young girls or boys, aged 14 to 18, should benefit from it this year.

They will be trained by professionals affiliated with the French Motorcycling Federation and the Percigones association.

This announcement comes the day after the publication of an article in

Le Figaro

revealing the measures that the government wishes to put in place to eradicate the phenomenon of urban rodeo.
