Visitors are enjoying the sandy beaches and clear waters of Egypt's northern coast, but a new invention on the way will be an added attraction after the launch of the first home-made vehicle in the form of an overwater vehicle this year.

Designed by three friends, it is entirely produced using entirely local elements and materials and by local talent except for the engine that comes from Japan

Friends have so far produced 12 cars and received many orders after its unveiling.

It takes three weeks to produce a single car, and its price ranges between 300,000 Egyptian pounds ($19,181) and 700,000 ($44,757).

Karim and his friends intend to develop the car by introducing new amphibious models capable of traveling both on land and at sea.

They are also setting their sights on exporting to foreign markets.
