Be wary of false propaganda for off-campus training to induce payment

Beijing, June 16th (Reporter Yu Zhongning) Today, the Office of the State Council’s Educational Supervision Committee issued a reminder on the risk of off-campus training, stating that some training institutions pay more and parents should be vigilant when choosing training programs and paying training fees for their children. Don't be fooled by inducing payment.

The Education Supervision Office of the State Council pointed out that some training institutions are recruiting students, selling courses at prices significantly lower than cost, misleading students to sign up with improper language, and even fabricating the original price of the courses and conducting false publicity at discounted prices to induce parents to pay training fees.

The Education Supervision Office of the State Council reminded that before paying the fees, parents should understand in detail all the fees that the training institution has announced to the society. For fees that exceed the scope of the announcement, one-time more than 3 months or 60 class hours, they should carefully distinguish and operate with caution.

In addition, parents must also be wary of off-campus training institutions concocting gimmicks and high fees.

Some training institutions take advantage of the eagerness of parents and children before the exam, taking advantage of the gimmicks of proposition research centers, proposition experts and even propositioners, organizing so-called "confidential training" and "internal training", etc., and charge high fees.

Parents should keep their eyes open when choosing training programs for their children to avoid being deceived.

In case of the above behaviors, it is necessary to promptly report to the local market supervision department or the education administration department to safeguard their own rights and interests.

It is reported that since the beginning of this year, the education system in our country has intensively introduced policies, measures and management systems to continuously increase supervision over the problems of unevenness and chaos in the off-campus training industry.

On May 21, the 19th meeting of the Central Committee for Comprehensive Deepening Reform deliberated and approved the "Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Students' Work and Off-campus Training in Compulsory Education", that is, the "double reduction" policy.

On June 15th, the Ministry of Education established a new off-campus education and training supervision department, proposing to promote the "double reduction" work in the spirit of "nailing nails" to achieve results.

Various localities have also introduced policies to increase the supervision and rectification of the education and training industry. The focus of rectification is mainly on license registration, training behavior, fee management, advertising, and safe banking.

At present, several off-campus training institutions have been fined.
