As Shuvalov emphasized, in general, for spring and early summer, the Black Sea region is characterized by a predominance of cyclonic circulation.

“This means, first of all, the powerful development of cumulonimbus clouds, it is they who, forming thunder cells, clusters of cumulonimbus clouds, give such powerful precipitation.

Of course, they do not go everywhere, but under these thunderstorm cells the amount of precipitation can sometimes reach the monthly norm, and sometimes even exceed it.

This cyclonic circulation was the main reason why the Black Sea coast has been observed for such a long time, rather cool, and most importantly, rainy weather with a lot of precipitation, ”the expert explained.

He added that Kerch is just one example, because, as the specialist explained, Krasnodar, Sochi and Gelendzhik were in such a situation.

According to the forecaster, the likelihood of heavy rainfall still remains, but "it will gradually subside."

"In the coming days, for the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, we can expect an improvement in the weather, that is, the cessation of precipitation, and an increase in temperature to the usual for southerners +25 ... + 30 ° C," the interlocutor of RT concluded.

Earlier it was reported that more than 200 houses were flooded in Kerch as a result of heavy downpours, the hospital and the city center were left without electricity.

Heavy rains took place in Crimea on the night of Thursday, June 17, causing flooding; in the eastern regions, almost two monthly precipitation rates fell.
