A teacher in his 50s working at an elementary school in Niigata City was arrested for doing obscene acts by promising to give cash to a 17-year-old female high school student who met on SNS at the time.
He denied the charges, saying, "I thought I was 18 years old."
The person arrested was Eiichiro Shibuya (59), a teacher who works at an elementary school in Niigata City.
According to police, child prostitution was suspected at a hotel in Niigata City last August, alleging that he had made an obscene act by promising to give cash to a high school girl who was 17 years old at the time.
Police arrested him at home on the morning of the 17th for a voluntary accompaniment.
According to the investigation so far, the police have decided to investigate the detailed circumstances because they met the girl student through SNS.
