Although I entered the university hoping for a fulfilling student life, I was told that I could only take online classes for one year last year as a measure against corona, and a university student in Tokyo filed a complaint requesting a refund of tuition fees.

The complaint was filed by a male university student who enrolled in the Faculty of Business Administration at Meisei University in Hino City, Tokyo last April, and sent a complaint to the Tachikawa Branch of the Tokyo District Court.

According to the complaint, from April last year, online classes were started to prevent corona, and the Faculty of Business Administration had no classes in the classroom for one year, and the university facilities such as the library could not be used. We are asking you to pay more than 1.4 million yen as a consolation fee.

A male college student said, "I was hoping for a fulfilling college life, such as moving to Tokyo from Ibaraki and making friends, but I was not given the opportunity to speak in online classes, and it was a year of loneliness and despair. I wanted to hear more from the students. "

Meisei University says, "We haven't received the complaint at this point, so we can't confirm it."
