We still breathe badly in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

This Wednesday marks the fifth consecutive day that the ozone pollution threshold has been exceeded in the Bouches-du-Rhône.

The level 2 alert procedure, triggered on Tuesday, is therefore maintained.

Further west, the Vaucluse recorded an exceeding of this threshold for the third consecutive day and therefore went into level 1 alert.

Traffic speeds are therefore lowered by 20 km / h in the two departments and the authorities are asking residents to reduce their travel and to consider alternative modes of transport to the car.

Announced Tuesday, parking for subscribed residents remains free in Marseille until the alert is lifted, in order to encourage limiting the use of the car.

This Monday, in the evening, the metropolis announced in a press release the free availability of its bicycle service.

The RTM one-trip ticket is also valid for the whole day.
