Why it all started in the Neolithic: agriculture, the domestication of animals, sedentarization and territorial conflicts.

Crossed views of prehistorians on this pivotal period of our humanity ...

Let us shed light on our present in the light of the past, going back to the prehistory of our humanity and stopping at a pivotal, decisive period which has guided the tremendous development of our human societies. Why and how did all this history, our history, begin in the Neolithic? Between the 9th and the 3rd millennium BC, all over the earth but in different times and places, with sedentarization, the appearance of agriculture and breeding, the domestication of animals, the storage of foodstuffs leading to the first wars of possession and territory, the emergence of inequalities and a demographic boom forcing more and more production. Can we speak of a Neolithic revolution? How can exploration of the Neolithic era shed light on our humanity today?
