The Wudongde Power Station is a major national project for the implementation of the "West-to-East Power Transmission". It is the fourth largest hydropower station in China and the seventh largest in the world.
The power station has installed 12 hydro-generator units with a single unit capacity of 850,000 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 10.2 million kilowatts. After the power generation is fully put into operation, the average annual power generation is 38.91 billion kilowatt-hours.
