Laetitia Colombani returns to VMDN for her new novel “The Kite”, a feminist story set in India about reconstruction and emancipation.

Publicity

When we received her in the spring of 2017, we were far from imagining how her first novel "La Tresse" would become THE literary phenomenon of the following summer and even beyond, since it sold to some 2 million copies.

A children's album, a film and a novel later, here she is back with another story, always as moving, because full of these little snapshots that overwhelm us (a handshake that seals a friendship, a simple name written on sand).

It is overwhelming this story of women who, through the story of reconstruction, is also and perhaps above all a formidable plea for emancipation and education.
