At JR Hachinohe Station in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, a sasagi decoration was set up before Tanabata on the 7th of next month, and strips of paper wishing for the early convergence of the new coronavirus were displayed.

At JR East, the decorations are exhibited at Hachinohe Station every year in time for Tanabata, and the station staff installed two stickers about 3 meters high in the free passage on the second floor.

Then, the station staff decorated the strips that wrote, "May the new corona converge."

In addition, about 30 colorful windsocks handmade by station staff were decorated in the image of the "Sendai Tanabata Festival" in Sendai City.

Shintaro Tsukidate, a staff member of JR Hachinohe Station, said, "Various events have been canceled due to the influence of the new Corona, but I want you to feel a little brighter by seeing the decorations."

This decoration will be on display until Tanabata on the 7th of next month, and from the 1st to the 6th of next month, 500 strips will be prepared so that visitors to the station can write their wishes.
