“Bassam” is unable to pay 16.7 thousand dirhams of rent arrears

(Bassam - Syrian) is unable to pay 16,762 dirhams of rent arrears, and the owner of the house threatens to evict him, and to file a lawsuit against him, and appeals to good people and people of compassionate hearts to help him pay.

(Bassam) told "Emirates Today": "I worked in the country for more than 33 years in government and private sectors in the various emirates of the country, and my wife worked in the private sector with a salary of 3000 dirhams, from which she helped me with life expenses and rent housing, and our condition was stable."

He continued, "My financial condition deteriorated last year, after my wife had repeated miscarriages for two consecutive years, and one of the reasons for it, last year, was the appendix ruptured at the beginning of her pregnancy, which made her unable to work, because she entered a depression for a long time."

He added, "I tried to take into account my wife's feelings, and did not force her to work, until her psychological condition stabilized, as I have been working in a real estate rental company for more than 10 years, with a salary of 4,500 dirhams, but the company told me, after renewing the contract this year, that I had a choice between either reducing Salary, up to 1,000 dirhams, or leaving work, the only option was to agree to work, to look for a new job.”

He added: "The owner of the apartment in which I reside has filed a rental lawsuit asking me to pay 16,762 dirhams of rent arrears.
