Some prefer them tribal, others with words or phrases.

There is something for everyone (even the worst) when it comes to tattooing.

In Brittany, it is not uncommon to see people with a Gwenn ha Du or an ermine on the forearm or calf in this way.

A passion on edge for Breizh which interests the Musée de Bretagne.

As part of a photo reportage project, the establishment, located in Rennes, is appealing to people who have chosen to have a Breton symbol or a reference to Brittany tattooed.

The shooting of the models until December

This project is part of a temporary exhibition, to be held in 2022, on the theme of Celtic heritage in Brittany.

"The Celtic culture and the imaginary universe which is linked to it generated an abundant artistic and decorative vocabulary, which could find a natural outcome in the graphic art of tattooing", underlines the Museum of Brittany, which seeks to know more on these people who choose to have Brittany tattooed on their skin.

Those interested in participating in this photographic report are invited to contact Alain Amet, photographer and responsible for the museum's icon library.

It is he who will carry out until December the shooting of the models which will be carried out "in the framework chosen by the person concerned, indoors or outdoors, in order to situate the subject in his own environment".
