The person arrested was Takuta Okazaki (30), a former employee of the General Affairs Department of the NHK News Bureau, in Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, a former employee of Okazaki submitted a fictitious order form to a consumer electronics mass retailer in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo from September to October last year, and allegedly cheated about 4.3 million yen worth of PCs, etc. There is suspicion.



At that time, the former employee was in charge of the maintenance and management of equipment in the bureau, and retired on request in November last year before the fraud was discovered, NHK made it equivalent to disciplinary dismissal in February, and then filed a criminal accusation. According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he admitted to the investigation and stated that he had a large amount of debt and wanted money.
