June 12 is the 16th "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" in China.

On the same day, the protection and repair project of 5 enemy platforms and 4 side walls of the section from the West Five Eyes Building to the West Six Eyes Building of the World Cultural Heritage Jinshanling Great Wall in Chengde City, Hebei Province was officially launched and is expected to be completed by the end of October this year.

The Jinshanling Great Wall was built in the first year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368), with a total length of 10.5 kilometers. It is the essence of the Great Wall.

This project is based on the principle of "minimum intervention and elimination of danger" to carry out protection and repair, and eliminate the existing structural safety problems of the Great Wall.
