  According to the official Weibo of the Hebei Earthquake Administration, the epicenter was 56 kilometers away from the urban area of ​​Zhangjiakou City and 347 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang City.

According to the preliminary understanding by the Zhangjiakou Earthquake Monitoring Center Station of Hebei Provincial Earthquake Administration and Zhangjiakou Seismological Bureau, there was a slight tremor in Zhangjiakou urban area and Zhangbei County, and the people’s living order was stable. The largest earthquake was the 4.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province on June 23, 2016 (28 kilometers from the epicenter) .

  After the earthquake, the Hebei Seismological Bureau responded quickly and contacted the local authorities in Zhangjiakou to collect the disaster situation and dispatched an earthquake site investigation team to the epicenter.
