A few days ago, Liu Pinsan, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage (Jizhou kiln ceramic firing technique), said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency that after he arrived in Jingdezhen around the age of 70, because Jingdezhen’s ceramic industry chain is relatively complete, the division of labor is very complete. In terms of artistic innovation, I have provided myself with many convenient conditions, and the atmosphere of artistic creation is relatively strong, and my understanding of ceramics has been sublimated.

Jizhou Kiln is located in Yonghe Town, Ji’an County, Jiangxi Province. It is one of the well-preserved ancient famous kiln sites in China.

He has created ingenious ceramic products such as "Koye Tianmu, paper-cut decals" and so on.

Liu Pinsan, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage (Jizhou kiln porcelain firing technique), was transferred to the Jiangxi Provincial Museum in 1971, which coincided with the start of the Jizhou kiln excavation.

Over the past few decades, after hard exploration, he has successively restored the porcelain making techniques of Jizhou kilns such as painted porcelain, paper-cut decal porcelain, wood-leaf bowls, kiln changes, and tiger skin glaze.

What is particularly commendable is that he can do all the craftsmanship from mud mining, porcelain making, glazing, painting, glazing, to firing, etc., by himself.

It turned out that I was just restoring technological development. In terms of innovation, it was during this period in Jingdezhen. I integrated my entire life into ceramics after I was 70 years old, and I couldn't live without it.

At that time, I really realized the charm of ceramics, and reflected the natural elements of gold, wood, water, fire, earth, science, technology and art in ceramics.

So I used all the elements of paster, filer, and carpentry into the ceramics, and knead all the wood leaves, paper-cut stickers, painted porcelain, and kneading of the Jizhou kiln. One becomes two, two becomes three, and three. Change thousands of times.
