Inoculation to the elderly began on the 12th at a large-scale mass inoculation site for the new coronavirus vaccine set up by Gifu Prefecture.

In order to support vaccination in urban areas, Gifu Prefecture will set up a large-scale mass vaccination site at the Gifu Sangyo Kaikan in Gifu City to inoculate elderly people.



Up to 500 people a day, 360 people will be inoculated on the 12th of the first day.



On the 12th, a shuttle bus was operated from the city to the venue every hour for the elderly in Kakamigahara City, and was used by a large number of people.



At the venue, after a doctor's interview, a vaccination of Moderna was carried out.



A 74-year-old man who received the vaccination said, "I wanted to receive it early, but I was told by a local medical institution that I did not know when it would be, so I came to receive this mass vaccination." ..



Nori Wakayama, chief of the Gifu Prefecture Vaccination Countermeasures Office, said, "Today, the process from reception to vaccination is smooth. We will continue to improve it and make use of it for vaccination of a large number of people in the future."



Inoculation at this venue is for elderly people in Kakamigahara City on Saturdays and Sundays this week and next week, and in Gifu City on Saturdays and Sundays next week. It is a policy to target students who do weekends.
