At present, the fire and rescue forces have rushed to the epicenter.

  China Earthquake Networks officially determined that a magnitude 5.0 earthquake occurred in Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province (24.96 degrees north latitude, 97.89 degrees east longitude) at 18:00 on June 12, with a focal depth of 16 kilometers.

  The reporter learned from the Yunnan Fire Rescue Corps that after the earthquake, the Dehong Fire Rescue Detachment immediately mobilized 27 people in 3 vehicles and 27 people in front of Yingjiang to go to Mengnong Township, Yingjiang County, the epicenter.

At the same time, the Yunnan Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps has launched a cross-regional earthquake rescue plan. The Dali, Baoshan, Nujiang, and Lijiang fire rescue detachments in the western Yunnan cooperation zone have assembled at the station, waiting for reinforcement instructions.

  Yingjiang County belongs to the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. It borders Myanmar to the west, northwest, and southwest. It is an important gateway for economic and trade exchanges between China and Southeast Asian countries. It is also one of the key hometowns of overseas Chinese in Yunnan Province.
