[Commentary] On June 12, the "The Communist Party of China and the'One Country, Two Systems' Theme Forum" was co-sponsored by the Central Government Liaison Office in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong National Security Agency, the Foreign Affairs Office, and the Hong Kong Garrison. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government invited the "Communist Party of China and'One Country, Two Systems' Theme Forum" in Hong Kong. The exhibition center was held to solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

On the same day, Luo Huining, director of the Hong Kong Central Liaison Office, attended and delivered a keynote speech.

Guests such as Tung Chee-hwa and Liang Zhenying, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended the event.

　　[Explanation] Luo Huining stated in the keynote speech that over the past 100 years, the Chinese Communist Party has united and led the Chinese people to a great leap from standing up, getting rich to becoming strong, and achieving earth-shaking historical changes.

Hong Kong has integrated into the centuries-old epic of the Chinese Communist Party with its own special experience, and the cause of "One Country, Two Systems" has become a colorful chapter in it.

He pointed out that to advance the cause of "one country, two systems", the leadership of the Communist Party of China must be upheld and maintained.

　　No one understands the value of "one country, two systems" more deeply than the Chinese Communist Party, and no one sticks to the original aspiration of "one country, two systems" more persistently than the Chinese Communist Party.

To maintain the leadership of the Communist Party of China is to maintain "one country, two systems", to maintain the constitutional order of the special administrative region as determined by the Constitution and the Basic Law, and to maintain the bright future of Hong Kong and the fundamental well-being of Hong Kong compatriots.

He pointed out that the basic law consultation lasted for more than four years, which is the longest, largest, and broadly representative consultation work in Hong Kong to date.

He stated that the Communist Party of China is the creator of "one country, two systems" and the implementer of the peaceful reunification of China.

　　Consultation on the Basic Law lasted for more than four years. It is the longest, largest, and broadly representative consultation work in Hong Kong to date.

The 180 members of the Advisory Committee come from various sectors including industry and commerce, labor, politics, professions, religions, civil servants, hawkers, teachers, students, etc. There are also foreigners in Hong Kong.

The Communist Party of China has not only pioneered the peaceful resolution of territorial and sovereignty issues left over from history with "one country, two systems", it has also established a model of rule of law and democracy.

　　[Explanation] The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam pointed out in her speech that the Communist Party of China is a people-centered ruling party. "One country, two systems" is the enlightened system implemented by the Communist Party of China to care about the well-being of Hong Kong compatriots.

The people of Hong Kong should accurately implement "One Country, Two Systems" to ensure the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　[Commentary] In the theme forum, Liang Aishi, former deputy director of the Hong Kong Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Liu Zhaojia, vice chairman of the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association, and Chen Yong, representative of the National People’s Congress of Hong Kong, interpreted the relationship between the Communist Party of China and Hong Kong and " The bright prospect of "one country, two systems".

Scholars such as Rao Geping, Han Dayuan, Wang Zhenmin, and Li Haoran made written exchanges around the theme of the forum.
