In order to restore the use of the Tohoku Shinkansen, JR East will start a demonstration experiment to install a dedicated telework vehicle that can make calls and video conferencing on all Hayabusa trains, and the inside of the train was opened to the press on the 11th. It was.

A dedicated telework vehicle is installed in car 1, and a special speaker installed inside the car emits sound to make it difficult for people to hear the conversation.

In addition, some trains allow you to rent headphones that can block out ambient sounds such as vehicle running noise, and smart glasses that can display your computer screen in front of you.

Also on the 11th, a device under development to be attached to the armrest to prevent peeping on the computer screen was released.

The experiment will be conducted on weekdays from the 14th of this month to the 16th of next month, and will cover all Hayabusa, which operate 60 trains a day.

JR will conduct a questionnaire survey of users and consider whether to introduce it in earnest after seeing the reaction.

Former Deputy Chief of JR East Business Creation Headquarters said, "I see that the use of the Shinkansen will not be restored even after the end of Corona, and I would like to develop services that meet new demand such as telework."
