A recent study confirmed that the anti-Corona vaccine developed by the German company “Biontech” in cooperation with the American “Pfizer” company also protects against the Corona variant that appeared in India (Delta) (B.1.617.2).

The scientists, under the supervision of Bi Yong Shi from the University of Texas at Galveston, wrote in the journal "Nature" that the vaccine also protects against several other variables, such as the (B.1.525) variant, which first appeared in Nigeria.

In the study, the researchers examined 20 blood samples from 15 individuals who received two doses of the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine, and tested the response to different Corona variables.

The researchers found that the effectiveness of the antibodies was lower with the variants compared to the type of coronavirus isolated in January 2020, but it is still “strong.”

Previous studies and data sets had previously shown similar results.
