"Camo"

Kenyan photographer Ndiwe Morio uses her mastery of modeling and color skills.

Moreau calls her series "Camo", an acronym for camouflage in English, as it creates a kind of optical illusion in which the person in the image almost disappears amidst the colors, yet it is clearly visible and cannot be ignored as part of the image.

Moreau says the series is "a bit of a personal reflection, and my feeling that I can disappear into the background of my culture...My experience as a commercial photographer has realized that I can be eliminated and disappear very quickly, because of the cultural context."
