a system at the end of its rope

collective despair.

The next day, the President of the Republic announces the Estates General of Justice, scheduled for September 2021. It is therefore within a tight schedule less than a year before the presidential election, that Emmanuel Macron decides to open a delicate file, while the judiciary is destabilized by recent criticisms, in particular those from the ranks of the police.
