For this new issue of the car show, the RMC Découverte teams went to Corsica, to travel the beautiful roads of the Isle of Beauty.

"It remains one of my best road trip memories, mainly because of the location," says Europe 1 Bruce Jouanny, pilot and co-host of the show.

RMC Découverte is broadcasting a new issue of its flagship program

Top Gear on

Thursday evening, a program

for car enthusiasts of all kinds, in which presenters challenge each other, face trials and participate in these races.

In the past, she has toured all over the world in recent years, whether in South Africa, Japan, Morocco, or even Peru.

But this season, fewer trips, without necessarily losing out.

This Thursday evening, the show is therefore shot in Corsica ... An ideal place for a road trip, according to Bruce Jouanny, pilot and co-host of the show.

"It remains one of my best road trip memories, mainly because of the location. The Isle of Beauty is really grandiose," he told Europe 1. "We did the north that I love ... It was really cool. The roads are beautiful, but so are the paths. "

And on site, "we were welcomed with open arms by the locals," he said.

But the "absolutely magnificent" landscapes were sometimes strewn with pitfalls, "because sometimes the roads are a little broken ... That's good, we had 4X4", indicates Bruce Jouanny.

A special team of presenters

Top Gear traveled to Corsica with a special team of presenters.

One of the four holders, Le Tone, was absent because positive for Covid-19.

He was replaced by Estelle Lefébure, an excellent co-driver, who had already taken part in the Trophée Andros and the Rallye des Gazelles.

Another new kid: Vincent Lagaf '.

He replaced for a few sequences Philippe Lellouche, who was to play in the theater.

Luc Alphand and Bruce Jouanny were there.

And the latter was not frankly disturbed by these changes.

"I didn't miss my two other sidekicks at all ... I've been slicing them on all the shows for 7 years," he jokes.

"We did some really cool stuff"

For him, "the trio with Philippe and the quartet with Luc, it works very well, so it felt a little weird to be with other people".

But there, the links were quickly forged.

"Finally, it had a good laugh ... We did some really nice stuff. We finished two nights in really remote places, and we lived a real beautiful human story".

And to conclude: "It is characteristic of the road trip, and this is what we had the chance to experience again in Corsica."

To see Friday evening in Top Gear: a "boat against car" race, a timed test in a sand pit, and the SUV test in the steepest roads of the island.
