The investigation continues into the kidnapping of little Mia.

A retired former soldier suspected of being involved in the kidnapping of little Mia, in mid-April in the Vosges, was arrested Tuesday in the Hautes-Pyrénées, we learned on Thursday from a source close to the file confirming information from BFMTV.

This man, a retired lieutenant-colonel, was arrested during an operation by gendarmes from the Nancy research section and police from the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI), added the same source, specifying that he was close to Rémy Daillet, figure of a conspiracy movement suspected of having organized the kidnapping of the girl.

Little Mia, 8, was kidnapped in mid-April at her mother's request by several men while she was staying with her maternal grandmother in a village in the Vosges.

Her mother was no longer allowed to see her alone or to speak to her on the phone.

A kidnapping alert was quickly disseminated and significant police resources made it possible to find her five days later with her mother in Switzerland.

Members of the conspiratorial sphere

Rémy Daillet, 54, a former MoDem executive in Haute-Garonne, excluded from the centrist party in 2010, was also arrested ten days ago.

The 54-year-old man, who has since become a figure in the conspiracy movement, tried to defend himself in a video posted online after the kidnapping.

Without mentioning Mia by name, he refuted the term kidnapping.

"The big press tries to discredit us as much as possible by accusing me, for example, of instigating kidnappings," he said in this rather disjointed 5-minute video.

“Our organization, free, resistant, returns children kidnapped by the State to parents, at their request.

So there is absolutely no kidnapping ”.

In other older videos he defended the idea of a popular coup and said he was opposed to taxes, vaccines, masks or 5G.

In the Mia case, six men and the girl's mother, close to the anti-system movement and conspirators, were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
