15 million dollars in prizes for "restaurants" in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong government has expanded its incentives to encourage all residents of the country to be vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines.

And it became possible for the citizen to have a Tesla electric car, or a quantity of gold.

And the value of incentives allocated to encourage vaccination rose to $ 15 million, after major companies and Hong Kong's wealthy decided to contribute valuable prizes.

And CK Group, owned by billionaire Li Ka-Sheng, announced that it will give marketing coupons worth up to 2.6 million dollars through a lottery in which people who have undergone both doses of the vaccine participate.

New World Development, a real estate developer owned by billionaire Adrian Sheng, said it has allocated $10 million in benefits to low-income people who have agreed to be vaccinated.

These incentives appear to have made many of Hong Kong's 7.2 million residents accept the vaccination.

Authorities there announced that 34,600 people had received the Pfizer-Biontech, or Chinese Sinovac, vaccine on Tuesday.

The Hong Kong government is counting on the generosity of local businessmen to encourage residents to book appointments to get the vaccine. So far, more than 15.1% of Hong Kong's population has not accepted the vaccination, which is far less than the demand for vaccination in competing financial centers such as Singapore and London. Businessmen and authorities in Hong Kong are concerned about the slowdown in vaccination, which means that it is not possible to achieve societal immunity that can restore the economic activity that was affected by the closures caused by the viral outbreak. The pro-Chinese government announced that it will issue a list of restrictions that will be imposed on people who refuse to be vaccinated, and oblige them to social distance.
