Accustomed to comedies, Martin Lamotte changes his tune: he is showing in a drama called "The present moment".

The film hits theaters this Wednesday.

For the occasion, actor Martin Lamotte and director Florian Hessique deliver some filming secrets to Philippe Vandel's microphone on Europe 1.

"I have always wanted to make a film about horses, I have been passionate about riding since I was very young," admits Florian Hessique.

L'instant Present

, in which Martin Lamotte and Alice Raucoules play, will be released in theaters this Wednesday.

But if filming in an equestrian center was pleasant for Florian Hessique, it was not an easy task for actor Martin Lamotte.

The director and the actor were invited in Culture-Médias on Europe 1, Wednesday.

"Horse therapy"

"When I wrote this screenplay, I saw Martin straight away. For me, he's the perfect example of the surly with a tender heart," says Florian Heussique.

The star actor leaves, for this film, the comic register that he regularly practices in

The present moment

is therefore a drama, written by the director.

It features a young man who, after a horseback accident, remained in a coma for nine years.

When he returns to the equestrian center, he does not remember anything, he has to learn everything again.

"Approaching therapy by the horse is something quite interesting," says Florian Hessique.

An "obnoxious horse!"

A finding that is more difficult to establish for Martin Lamotte.

During the filming, he even had a hard time adjusting to the presence of the horses.

"I fear these animals there because I know that they are not very intelligent, the poor ... They are fearful animals", advances the actor at the microphone of Europe 1.

For this film, Martin Lamotte shot with an "odious" horse, according to him.

"When I was passing the morning he would neigh. I would go to see him, I would stroke him. I would give him something to eat and all of a sudden he would look at me and pour his bucket over with his paw!", S ' amuses the actor.

And for all animals, it's the same thing, Martin Lamotte has trouble taming them.

“Once I shot with a parrot, it took two months for it to come in my jacket,” he recalls.

Despite these setbacks, the shooting of the film went well thanks to the bond between the two men.

"This is the fourth project that we are doing together, we get along well and we have a lot of fun," says Florian Hessique.
