There is something new on the official Lorde website.
The New Zealand artist has indeed teased the upcoming arrival of
Solar Power
.
If you don't know what
Solar Power is
, it's normal: the young singer didn't specify what it is, and even if we can imagine that it is a musical project, nothing is official for the moment.
"It happens in 2021. Patience is a virtue", we can read under the photo (signed Ophelia Mikkelson Jones) which illustrates
Solar Power
on the star's site, which also encourages its fans to subscribe to its newsletter if they want to know more when the time comes.
Lorde announced late last year that she had collaborated with Jack Antonoff on several songs, recorded between Auckland and Los Angeles.
The comeback
Lorde hasn't released an album since
Melodrama
in 2017, which itself hit stores four years after the artist's debut album,
Pure Heroine
, which included the absolute
hit Royals
.
Last month, she also announced her first concert in three years, headlining the Primavera 2022 festival. She will be on the main stage on day five of the Barcelona music event.
All she has so far revealed on her third album is that her title must be linked to
Going South
, her autobiography, in the form of photos, which recounts in particular her trip to Antarctica, which had piqued her interest in environmental causes.
Could
Solar Power
be the long awaited album?
Lorde is expected to reveal more in the coming days.
