Publicity

Far from being anecdotal, the episode of the slap received yesterday by Emmanuel Macron is indicative of the excess and radicalization of certain minds ... This is what emerges from reading the press this morning.

Emmanuel Macron slapped, the Republic humiliated

 ", launches

L'Alsace

.

Emmanuel Macron slapped, a red line crossed,

 " exclaims

Le Maine Libre

.

A slap in the face of democracy,

 " adds

Le Progrès

.

The slap that worries,

 " sighs

Le Parisien

.

The slap shaking the Republic,

 " insists

Southwest

.

Sud-Ouest

which wonders: "

Does the blow to the president mark a further escalation in the degradation of public debate in France?"

 "Certainly, points out the newspaper,"

French political life has never been a long river of love and leniency.

In the 1930s, the fascist leagues publicly called for the assassination of Leon Blum.

This was the object of a hatred not far from that which has surged against Emmanuel Macron since the movement of yellow vests.

But after the Tain-L'hermitage episode, and one year away from a possibly unbreathable presidential election, it is time to warn, believes Southwest, of the danger of vociferating against these opaque elites who would release viruses, which simmer attacks, which would organize the dictatorship.

Today was a slap in the face.

And tomorrow ?

 "

This France which gets used to violence ...

La Charente Libre

continues: “

This slap in the face is one more episode in this deterioration of the climate. A background of increasingly rancid air which only trivializes verbal violence, which gives voice to the one who shouts the loudest and clashes the fastest

(…).

We could dissect the royalist cry of this 28-year-old man before taking action. But this

"Montjoie-Saint-Denis"

which rallies the fanatics of Action Française wanting to put down the

republican

"pig"

, is only one more symptom

, point

The Charente Libre.

That of a France that gets used to violence, of offering brain time available to all components of the ultra-right, of reversing republican values, making Zemmour the new prophet of the lights of the 21st century and of the extreme right, a possible remedy to save the nation from a supposed slump

.

"

Do not oversize the scope of this gesture ...

Le Figaro

does not have the same analysis… Of course, “

the presidential office imposes respect on those who live and act under its jurisdiction.

"But, continues

Le Figaro

, we must not"

oversize the scope of this event.

It would be giving too much importance to the fool who wanted to be noticed.

The best answer was given by Emmanuel Macron himself who immediately decided not to change the program of this trip in any way.

Don't stop, don't over-dramatize either.

The unacceptable nature of such an act imposes a reflex of unity, it does not mean that the Republic is in danger.

"

This Wednesday: like a taste of rediscovered freedom ...

Also on the front page: act 2 of deconfinement… “

Curfew postponed to 11 pm, reopening of dining rooms, softer gauges in public places: this June 9 has a taste of rediscovered freedom

 ,” notes

Liberation

. But beware, the newspaper warns, “

do not believe that the virus dies because the epidemic is subsiding. Many scientists predict that it will continue to circulate. Hence the urgency to also think about extending vaccination coverage to the poorest and most vulnerable, whether they are from here or elsewhere, because our freedom also depends on theirs. This pandemic has also highlighted the weaknesses of our research tool and our hospital system, it has highlighted the vital need to place the environment at the top of the agenda and, for some, the crucial need to reconnect with the nature. In short

, concludes

Liberation

,

let's take advantage of this return to life, yes, a thousand times yes, but let's not forget this

"world after"

which many of us, in a moment of bewilderment perhaps, believed.

"

And then there is also this Wednesday “

 the return to the office

”: it is the great title of

La Croix

.

The end of

" 100% compulsory teleworking "

will lead to the gradual return of employees to their workplaces from this Wednesday.

 "But points out the newspaper,"

most employees do not imagine the end of teleworking.

As are some companies.

In 2019, between 500,000

to 800,000

employees teleworked on a regular basis.

Today, it is possible for 6 or 7 million.
