Near the summit of Hachimantai, which straddles Iwate and Akita, the snow melts and a "dragon eye" that looks like a "dragon's eye" appears, and tourists are visiting.

At Kagaminuma, which is located near 1600 meters above sea level in Hachimantai, the center of the snow that accumulates on the swamp melts at this time of year, creating a donut-shaped outline that looks like an eye.

It is called "Dragon Eye" because it looks like a dragon's eye, and it became popular only during this time, and tourists visited it on the 9th.

On the 7th, the snow in the central pupil of the swamp melted and the shape of the eyes was formed, so the local tourist association declared that the dragon eye had "opened its eyes".

According to the tourist association, the water looks blue every year, but this time it looks muddy because of the heavy yellow sand in the spring and the heavy rain last week.

A woman from Morioka said, "I've seen something like last year. It's a little disappointing because the water is muddy, but I felt that nature is different every year."

Mika Kaito, Deputy Secretary General of the Hachimantai Tourism Association, said, "Every year, the appearance of the dragon eye changes depending on the weather conditions. I hope you enjoy this unknown natural phenomenon."

According to the tourist association, this year's Dragon Eye can be enjoyed for a few more days.
