The Tokyo District Court has decided to grant bail to a member of the House of Representatives, Tsukasa Akimoto, who has been acquitted of bribery and the acquisition of witnesses over the business of an IR / integrated resort facility.
The bail is 80 million yen.
The prosecution is expected to appeal this, and if the court dismisses and the bail is paid, Senator Akimoto will be released on bail.
