On the occasion of the Radio Festival launched in France by the CSA to celebrate the centenary of Radio and the 40 years of the FM band in France, Religions du monde is interested in the place of religions on the airwaves in France. and abroad, and notes that these accompanied the birth of the Radio.

For example, in 1931, in the nascent Vatican State, Pope Pius XI initiated the creation of Vatican Radio.

Religions du monde offers a radio peregrination in the so-called religious programs offered by the public service on France Culture, but also in associative radios of a denominational nature such as the RCF network, the French-speaking Christian Radio, or Beur FM where Islam is a component of the identity of this community radio station.

We will go to Brazil where the evangelical radios have a social and political weight and finally will make a long stop in the studios of Vatican Radio with its former director, the

father Federico Lombardi.
