Embezzlement of 500,000 euros

The indicted man - without a criminal record like his wife - served as accountant and IT manager of this institute, a position from which he was also dismissed for misconduct.

The investigation made it possible to establish "embezzlement of funds by false invoicing, for nearly 500,000 euros, and embezzlement of materials, for a little more than 600,000 euros, with subsequently complex financial arrangements to conceal the sums in the heritage of the accused, ”according to the prosecutor.

Investigators seized in this file for nearly 780,000 euros of various values.

If the former employee admitted the embezzlement, he denied the misappropriation of materials, citing donations from the companies with which he worked.

His wife admitted that she knew the origin of the funds and benefited from it.

A judicial investigation was opened in particular of the counts of fraud, breach of trust, concealment of these crimes and money laundering.
