At the forum, Ouyang Minggao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at the School of Vehicles and Transportation of Tsinghua University, suggested that Beijing should study and introduce a policy to ban the sale of fuel vehicles and gradually change all vehicle indicators to new energy vehicle indicators to promote carbon emissions reduction.
