Actor Park Yong-gi (59) has been arrested for causing an accident that hit a pedestrian crossing the street with a drunk driving vehicle.
According to the Songpa Police Station in Seoul, on the 31st, around 12:20 a.m., Park Yong-gi drove his vehicle and hit a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk while turning right at the southern end of Jamsil Bridge at Jamsil Station Street in Songpa, Seoul.
A passerby who was hit by a car in the accident suffered minor injuries.
According to the results of a breathalyzer test conducted immediately after the accident, Park Yong-gi had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08%, exceeding the license revocation value of 0.08%.
The police booked Park Yong-gi without detention on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act and drunk driving injuries under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling.
Park Yong-gi continued to work until 2010, but voluntarily dropped out of 'Athena: Goddess of War' for health reasons, and the following year, he was sentenced to probation on trial for smoking marijuana.
