2,993 coronavirus patients are cared for in critical care services, which take care of the most seriously ill patients.

This is the first time since the end of January that this figure has been so low, after remaining around 6,000 between mid-April and early May.

The number of hospitalized Covid-19 patients continued to decline on Sunday, that of patients in intensive care units falling below the 3,000 mark, according to data from Public Health France. Currently, 2,993 coronavirus patients are being cared for in critical care services, which take care of the most seriously ill patients and which include intensive care beds, against 3,028 the day before.

This is the first time since the end of January that this figure has been so low, after remaining around 6,000 between mid-April and early May, at the height of the third wave.
