According to Thai media reports, Andrii Beshta, the Ukrainian ambassador to Thailand, died unexpectedly on May 30 while on holiday on Koh Lipe in southern Thailand.

  The report said that after receiving the report, the local police rushed to the scene of the incident and initially checked that there were no injuries on the deceased, and there were no signs of fighting at the scene.

  The deceased's son told the police that at around 11pm local time on May 29th, his father entered the room to rest as usual until he developed vomiting symptoms and lost consciousness at about 4:30 the next morning, and died shortly thereafter.

  Bešta's body has been taken to the hospital.

According to the police, the specific cause of death has to wait for the autopsy results.

  According to the official website of the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand, Bešta was born in December 1976, was appointed as Ukraine’s ambassador to Thailand in November 2015, and arrived in Bangkok in January 2016.

He and his wife have a daughter and two sons.
