On May 30, the wild elephant group in the north of Yunnan moved into the vicinity of Dawan Village, Hongta District, Yuxi City. The unmanned aerial vehicle monitoring team of the Yunnan Forest Fire Brigade continued to conduct surveys and tracking.

It is understood that in order to prevent the elephants from moving northward and causing greater threats, the Yunnan Provincial Forestry and Grass Bureau established a leading group for the safety of Asian elephants moving north and 7 special working groups to further strengthen on-site guidance and public opinion guidance.

On the evening of the 29th, the National Forestry and Grass Administration sent 5 experts and leaders to the Hongta District Security Command Headquarters to discuss measures related to the northward migration of the target group.

At present, all relevant departments are working together to take a variety of measures to strengthen monitoring, prevention and control to ensure the safety of people's lives.
