JR East has decided to open a public offering from next month for the name of the new station on the JR Keiyo Line, which will open in the Makuhari New City area of Chiba City.

The new station on the JR Keiyo Line is under construction in front of a large commercial facility between Kaihin Makuhari Station and Shin Narashino Station, and is scheduled to open two years later in the spring of Reiwa 5.

The name of this new station has been decided by the JR East Chiba branch office through open recruitment from the general public so that users will be familiar with it.

If you are a Chiba citizen or a person who commute to work or school in the city, you can apply by postcard as well as the dedicated site, and the application period is from 1st to 1 month next month.

The station name will be selected and decided by the JR Chiba branch office, and will be announced around the fall of this year.

JR East is the second station to solicit station names after "Takanawa Gateway" station on the Yamanote line, and the Chiba branch office "thinks about new station names that represent this area together with users. I want to wait for a lot of applications. "
