The decline continues.

According to data released this Friday by Public Health France, the number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized and in critical care continued to decline.

Regarding hospitalizations, French hospitals currently accommodate 17,272 Covid patients (against 17,941 the day before), including 539 admitted in the last 24 hours.

As for critical care services, where the most seriously affected Covid-19 patients are treated, 3,104 patients including 155 new admissions (127 the previous day).

In the past 24 hours, 105 patients have died in hospital.

47.6% of the adult population received a dose of vaccine

Regarding vaccination, which will be open to any adult from Monday, 24,992,823 people received an injection (37.3% of the total population and 47.6% of the adult population) and 10,578,349 people two injections (or 15.8% of the total population and 20.1% of the adult population), according to the Ministry of Health.

The European Medicines Agency on Friday approved the use of the anti-Covid Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine for 12-15 year olds, which becomes the first vaccine to be authorized for adolescents in the 27 countries of the European Union.
