The Minister of Agriculture's highest honor award is the highest award in the Philippine agricultural awards.

The award speech thanked Professor Zhang Zhaodong for his contributions to improving the living standards of Filipino farmers, increasing the rice production in the Philippines and the sustainable growth of rice production over the past 20 years.

Zhang Zhaodong is the former Deputy Director and Associate Researcher of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center of China.
