The Al Ahly Sporting Club likes to nurture its reputation as a record-breaking club in Africa.
At the end of November 2020, the Egyptian Red Devils took
over the CAF Champions League
against their compatriots Zamalek (2-1).
Seven years they waited to regain this trophy, after their last victory in 2013 and their two finals lost in 2017 and 2018.
This May 28, Al Ahly also resumed his habits with the African Supercup.
Opposed to the Moroccans of the sports renaissance of Berkane, Pitso Mosimane's men won, bringing their number of victories to seven for two losses.

Sherif and Mohsen crown the Red Devils
At the Jassim-bin-Hamad stadium in Doha (Qatar), theater of the CAF Supercup for the third consecutive edition, Egyptian supporters came in large numbers to support their team.
All of them still had to wait until the second half to see a show, after a dull first act (no shot on target) during which Al Ahly monopolized the ball.
After the break, the winners of the CAF Champions League accelerated and found the opening. On a very good collective movement, Mohamed Sherif was found in the penalty area. The No. 10 was able to pivot and wrap a winning shot (57th). Led to the score, the RS Berkane did not manage to react. Always forced to run after the leather, she finally framed only one shot during these 90 minutes of play.
The indisputable domination of Al Ahly was a little more manifested at the end of the meeting with this rapid attack concluded by Salah Mohsen.
The attacker, perfectly found in the back of the defense, went to dribble the goalkeeper Zouhair Laaroubi and register in the empty cage the goal of the break (2-0).
It deserved a banner in tribute to the South African coach Pitso Mosimane "
We believe, we respect, we achieve achievement
" ( "
We believe, we respect, we realize
") in the stands of the stadium.
Believe.
Respect.
Achieve.
@AlAhly fans have incredible faith in their manager @TheRealPitso.
