Health has notified this Friday 17 new deaths from coronavirus, compared to 33 on Thursday.

This is the lowest daily data since the end of last August.

In the update that closes the week and, as happened a few days ago, eleven autonomous communities and cities have not reported any deaths from Covid-19.

These are Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Ceuta, Extremadura, Galicia, Melilla, Murcia, Navarra and La Rioja.

The statistic reflects 5,482 new coronavirus infections (192 more than on Thursday).

There are already 3,668,658 infections and 79,905 deaths officially confirmed in Spain since the start of the pandemic.

128 of these deaths have occurred in the past seven days.

This Friday, a new decrease in the accumulated incidence has also been reported, which drops to

124.34 cases per 100,000 inhabitants

.

Even so, the seven-day incidence, useful for calculating rapid changes in trend, increases slightly, to 56.47 (on Thursday it was 56.43).

Basque Country (199.41), Madrid (188.37) and Melilla (186.04) continue to be the communities with the highest transmission rate;

while Ceuta (16.63), Valencian Community (32.70) and Balearic Islands (38.33) are the ones that keep it lower.

Hospital occupancy also continues to decline, following the trend of recent weeks.

It stands at 3.86%.

The Intensive Care Units (ICU) are also being released little by little, 14.71% occupied by Covid-19 patients.

Even so,

there are territories in which the pressure in ICUs continues to be worrying

.

They are Madrid (31.00%), La Rioja (26.42%), the Basque Country (23.67%) and Aragon (22.17%).

On the contrary, the most relaxed autonomies are the Valencian Community (2.89%), Galicia (3.84%) and the Balearic Islands (4.01%).

It should not be forgotten that these percentages only include those admitted by coronavirus.

To calculate the actual occupation, it would be necessary to add those admitted for other pathologies and surgeries.

The most affected countries in Europe continue to be Sweden (382.9), the Netherlands (326.3) and Belgium (253.8);

and the least United Kingdom (36.1), Romania (43.6) and Portugal (53.6).
