  Today (28th) afternoon, the "Sanxingdui Global Culture Promotion Conference" co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government was held outside the archaeological greenhouse of the Sanxingdui site in Guanghan.

The promotion conference announced the latest excavation progress of the 6 sacrificial pits at the Sanxingdui site.

  Up to now, 534 important cultural relics such as ivory, bronze, gold, jade and nearly 2,000 fragments of broken cultural relics have been unearthed from six sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui.

The ivory extraction work in Pit 3 and 4 has been basically completed. The next step will be to excavate many exposed bronzes; Pit 5 is special, with many scattered round gold foils. After consultation with experts, it was decided to develop a laboratory for some parts of it. Archeology; the "wooden box" of Pit 6 is also ready to be extracted as a whole; Pit 7 has opened up a small exploratory area, and densely packed ivory has been found under the fill; Pit No. 8 has found a sacred tree in the ash layer of nearly 20 cm Various fragments of, gold ware, copper masks, etc.
