Among the 57 defendants, 43 were members of triad organizations and 14 were non-organizational members.
The court found that the defendant Shi Feng gradually recruited the defendants Wu Jianbao, Zhu Hongcheng, Su Xuefeng, Luo Yisen and others as members of the criminal group since 1993, and carried out a series of illegal and criminal activities.
By 2000, the underworld organization with Shi Feng as the organization and leader was formed and developed rapidly.
The backbone members of the organization are fixed and there are many members. Among them, 19 people including Zhu Hongcheng are active participants (4 people have died), and 27 people including Ni Duohua are general participants.
In order to expand its influence and grab huge amounts of illegal economic benefits, the triad organization organized 23 cases of intentional homicide, armed cover, trafficking, transportation, manufacturing of drugs, illegal manufacturing of ammunition, and the sale of firearms, resulting in 3 deaths and 7 People were slightly injured and illegally controlled briquette processing, pork supply, and sterilized tableware markets in Hengyang.
The series of cases also involved 26 non-organized crimes such as intentional homicide, intentional injury, robbery, and illegal detention, resulting in 2 deaths, 2 serious injuries, and 2 minor injuries.
The court found that the defendant Shi Feng was guilty of organizing and leading a triad organization, intentional homicide, trafficking, transportation, and manufacturing of drugs; the defendants Wu Jianbao and Su Xuefeng were guilty of participating in a triad organization, intentional homicide, and manufacturing drugs. ; The above three crimes were both punished, and the death penalty was decided to be deprived of political rights for life, and all personal property was confiscated.
Defendant Yang Zhaoqun was guilty of trafficking, transporting, and manufacturing drugs, and was sentenced to death, deprived of political rights for life, and confiscated all personal property.
In addition, six defendants including Luo Yisen and Yang Yunjian were guilty of intentional homicide or trafficking, manufacturing, and transportation of drugs. They were both punished for several crimes. They decided to execute the death sentence with a two-year reprieve, deprived of political rights for life, and confiscated individuals. All property, Luo Yisen and Yang Yunjian’s sentence shall be reduced; the defendant, Chen Gang and other five persons who committed intentional homicide or manufacturing drugs, decided to execute life imprisonment, deprived of political rights for life, and confiscated all their personal property; the remaining defendants were separately sentenced to life imprisonment. Sentences ranged from one year, three months to seventeen years and corresponding property penalties.
