China News Service, Fuzhou, May 28 (Lin Linggong Yuansheng) A reporter learned from the Wufeng Police Station of the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau on the 28th that the station received an alarm at about 1:30 noon on the 27th saying that a community on Fufei South Road, Fuzhou Someone threw objects at high altitude and caused property damage. The police rushed to the scene immediately.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police saw a mess on the sidewalk in front of Building 7 in the community, with quilts, straw mats and other household items scattered all over the place, and a large bag of sundries fell directly on the roof of a red car. The roof of the car was dented.

Who threw these things down?

After visiting and investigating, the police quickly found the "culprit."

It turned out that a resident on the seventh floor of Building No. 7 hired a temporary cleaner, Xu Mou, to perform sanitation at his home due to the need for cleanliness.

On the same day, after Xu Mou finished cleaning, for convenience, he directly threw the cleaned quilts, straw mats and other debris from the windows of the balconies of households on the 7th floor.

The citizens downstairs once saw Xu Mou out loudly, but she refused to listen to her, and continued to gather the sundries, pack them, and throw them down together.

In the end, the sundries accidentally hit the roof of a small car parked on the sidewalk downstairs, and the estimated repair cost is about 4,000 yuan.

Fortunately, there were no passengers in the car and no pedestrians passing by on the sidewalk at the time, and no injuries were caused.

On the same day, Xu had been taken to Wufeng Police Station.

Due to the bad circumstances, the case is being investigated in the direction of the crime of throwing objects at height.

It is understood that the "Amendment to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China (11)", which will be implemented on March 1, 2021, newly provides for the crime of throwing objects at height, which means that “throwing objects at height” is officially sentenced.

Article 291 bis of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China clearly stipulates that if the circumstances of throwing objects from buildings or other high altitudes are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than one year, criminal detention or surveillance, and a fine or a fine.

Anyone who commits the acts mentioned in the preceding paragraph and constitutes other crimes shall be convicted and punished in accordance with the provisions of heavier punishments.
